About this book

This work has been written with four main aims: to introduce students in their early studies to the basic pathological processes that underlie all diseases; to relate the disease process to the clinical symptoms and signs that are manifest to the patients, and are noted and interpreted by the clinician; to provide factual detail about the common and important diseases so that students are aware of the predisposing factors, local and distant effects, and the natural outcome in each case; and to indicate the relevant ways in which laboratory investigation can establish the true nature of the illness and monitor its progress and response to natural therapy.
