Can I sell my ACCA books after passing an exam?
Yes - and sooner is better. ACCA editions are valid for a fixed run of sittings (typically September to the following June), and books hold their value while current, then drop sharply once superseded. With four sittings a year, someone is always starting the paper you just finished. Listing on UniBookTrade is free.
Which edition do I need for my ACCA exam sitting?
For most papers, editions follow the syllabus year: a 2026-27 edition covers the September 2026, December 2026, March 2027 and June 2027 sittings. The exceptions are TX and ATX, which follow the Finance Act: FA2025 editions are examinable from June 2026 to June 2027. Every paper page on this site shows the exact validity window per edition.
Can I use last year's ACCA study text?
Often yes: ACCA's official syllabus-changes document lists no changes for 2026-27 to eleven papers, including FR, AA, FM, SBL, SBR and AAA. The exceptions are TX and ATX (rewritten annually for the Finance Act), APM (restructured for 2026-27) and PM (two new learning outcomes). Whatever the text, tutors consistently advise using a current-edition exam kit, since question banks are updated every year.
What happens to ACCA books when the qualification changes in 2027?
ACCA is redesigning the qualification from 2027: 13 exams become 11, with new exams phasing in from July 2027. Current-format books remain valid through the June 2027 sittings, then the whole catalogue resets. If you've finished a paper, that's one more reason to sell your books while the current format lasts.
How much can I save buying second-hand ACCA books?
New prices are £39-£48 for a study text and £23-£30 for an exam kit, so a text-plus-kit pair runs £62-£78 per paper at RRP. Used current-edition books typically sell for half or less - across 13 papers, that's hundreds of pounds, which matters when exam fees alone are £160-£282 per paper.
