Are older SQE book editions still usable?
Broadly yes. Publishers refresh SQE titles every one to two years, and the Functioning Legal Knowledge is stable - but always revise from the current SRA assessment specification (free on the SQE website), and prefer recent editions for practice-question books and for tax-adjacent FLK2 topics like SDLT and inheritance tax, which change with Budgets.
