Most of us finish a degree with two shelves of books: the ones the reading list asked for, and the ones we actually chose. UniBookTrade is built for the first shelf. This post is about the second.
BookBramble is UniBookTrade's sister site for every other kind of book. Same team, same idea: readers selling to readers, so a book you've finished goes to someone who wants it next.
First, is it a course book?
If a novel, play or poetry collection is a set text on your course, list it on UniBookTrade. Students taking that module next year will be searching for exactly that edition, and that's who UniBookTrade puts it in front of.
Everything else, from the fantasy series you binged in second year to the manga you've finished, is better on BookBramble, where readers come looking for it.
Not sure which is which? Paste the ISBNs into Sell My Shelf. It values your course books and marks the ones that look like general reading.
How BookBramble works
- Listing is free, and you keep the full price. A £10 book pays you £10. The buyer pays for delivery and a small protection fee on top.
- Photograph your own copy. Every listing shows the real book, with its condition and any markings, so buyers know exactly what arrives.
- Your shelves become a shop. Readers who like one of your books can see the rest and buy several in one parcel, so a whole series from one seller travels together.
Buying opens soon
Right now BookBramble is open to sellers, so readers will find shelves full of books when it opens to buyers. If you list now, your shop is ready from day one.
What readers come looking for
- Series: fantasy, crime, manga and graphic novels, as a full set or the one volume someone is missing.
- BookTok favourites and whatever your book club is reading.
- Special editions, such as sprayed edges and subscription-box editions.
- Signed copies.
- Anything you'd happily recommend.
Start your BookBramble shop. It takes a few minutes with your phone's camera.
And when it's time to clear out your course books, see what to do with old university textbooks for every option, from selling to recycling.
