Can I use an older BA2 book?
CIMA's 2026 update added content under existing learning outcomes (sustainability, generative AI, cost of quality) without removing anything, so the paper structure is unchanged. Kaplan is CIMA's only official publisher and issues one edition per calendar year - a same-year edition is ideal, and a one-year-old edition is workable if you fill the new-content gaps from CIMA's free resources.
Always double-check the edition against your exam sitting before buying. When in doubt, CIMA's official syllabus documents are free and definitive.
