Can I use an older APM book?
APM had the biggest restructure of any paper for 2026-27: BCG matrix, Porter's five forces, McKinsey 7S, transfer pricing and IRR/MIRR were removed, while total shareholder return, environmental cost categories, SLAs and net promoter score were added. For sittings from September 2026, buy a 2026-27 edition - an older APM text will teach you removed topics and miss new ones.
Always double-check the edition against your exam sitting before buying. When in doubt, ACCA's official syllabus documents are free and definitive.
