Can I use an older PLAB book?
PLAB preparation runs on the same clinical canon as UK finals - the Oxford Handbooks plus a question bank - and over 20,000 candidates sit PLAB 1 each year, so demand for the standard texts is constant. Older editions of the core books are widely used; as with finals, keep prescribing knowledge current from up-to-date guidance rather than an old edition's drug doses.
Always double-check the edition against your exam sitting before buying. When in doubt, GMC's official syllabus documents are free and definitive.
